Bonhomme Carnaval is the official representative of the Québec Winter Carnaval.  He is approximately 7 feet tall and weighs close to 400 pounds.  He wears a red tuque and the ceinture fléchée, a symbol of New France in the 1600 and 1700s.  Each year, he is given a key to the city and becomes an honorary citizen.  You may see him at our Carnaval: he likes to dance, wave, and participate in all sorts of outdoor activities.

Could all members of the Student Council please meet Mme Sykes in room 205 for a brief meeting at 9:55 today?  We will be talking about  Carnaval jobs.

We have extended the Grade 8 applications to become Royals until the end of the day today, Wednesday, at 2:45.  Thank you!

Colouring Club is today, first half of second break in room 106 for grades 3-6. Bring your own materials.

Attention students in grades 1 to 4!  Do you like to dance?  Would you like to learn a fun dance routine to perform for the school? Do you want to join a Dance Club?   If the answer is yes, please meet Mrs. Cunningham in the concourse today at 2nd recess to find out all about this fun club!   See you then!!
